Week One - Great start!

The first day started off with an overcast sky, however, the participants were ready and eager to start their journey.

The first week of the September programme started off with a lot of self-reflection and self-belief.

MP Rusharana Ali came and spoke to us about her journey from the East End into the world of Westminster.

Fastlaners were then exposed to a mock assessment centre at BT.

The speaker panel at Canary Wharf Tower was quite impressive. The speakers were great and so was the eagle-eye view.

Job interviews are always quite intense. Our mock job interviews with real professionals was enlightening and 'real'. The feedback given by the guest interviewers as well as by fellow participants was really useful.

Networking is always a challenge, and the participants were given good tips on how to behave in social situations where many people are strangers.

The first week of the September programme has been great. There were some amazing conversations, and great friendships created.

Week Two is going to be even more jam-packed!
